Visit to Anís los Hermanos
On 13th February a group of students enrolled with the Chair in Family Business visited the firm Anís los Hermanos, in the Carmona region. This quintessential family firm was founded in Carmona (Seville) in 1880 and the property is built on the site of a 1st century Roman bath house. The Rodríguez brothers (José Antonio and Francisco) have recently revitalized the business through innovation and are developing new products, which include their “Puerto de Indias” gin, a genuinely revolutionary product in the sector. What began with a monthly production of 5000 bottles, has increased to 80,000 “and rising”, confirmed Francisco Rodriguez, in 2014, when he addressed the students from the Chair. He demonstrated the entire production process to the students, and then took them on a guided tour of the archaeological remains surrounding the site.
