Postdoctoral appointment to work in fundamental symmetries and neutrinos at the University of Washington

The University of Washington Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics (CENPA) has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral appointment to work in fundamental symmetries and neutrinos. An experiment on 6He beta decay that is searching for non-standard-model currents in weak decays seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work on all aspects of the ongoing laser-trap experiment and on developing a new method for determining for determining the beta spectrum shape by detecting the electron cyclotron radiation. Experience with laser traps is welcome but not required.

We welcome applicants who have obtained a Ph.D. within the last 3 years or who are expecting one prior to starting the position, in atomic, nuclear, or particle physics related to the experiments. Applicants should submit with their application letter a curriculum vitae and a list of publications, and have three letters of recommendation forwarded to Prof. Hamish Robertson (Esta dirección de correo electrónico está protegida contra spambots. The University of Washington is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
