Post-doctoral fellowship at laser-polarization and beta-NMR beamline at ISOLDE

The post-doctoral researcher will be responsible for the ongoing upgrades to the beamline and will oversee the experiments to be performed with the improved beamline. These cover the final design and commissioning of an offline ion source and its use to laser-polarize stable nuclei, preparation of the setups to detect the degree of polarization offline, and help with commissioning a superconducting NMR magnet. In the 2nd year the post-doc will be responsible for the beta-asymmetry measurements and beta-NMR studies using short lived isotopes.
