3. Job description: The Division of Physics at University of Tsukuba invites applications from excellent researchers in the field of experimental nuclear physics. The group, in conjunction with the Tomonaga Center for the History of the Universe

(TCHoU) and Research Facility Center for Science and Technology (UTTAC), currently conducts following research subjects: studies for properties of quark-gluon plasma at the CERN LHC and BNL RHIC, nucleosynthesis studies with unstable nuclei at RIKEN RIBF, studies for cosmogenic nuclides by Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) in UTTAC. The successful candidate is expected to play a leading role in one of the subjects above, or to create a new subject with cooperation of current members. The candidate will also be involved in education at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

4. Qualification: PhD in experimental nuclear physics or related field.

5. Starting date: February 1, 2020, or as soon as possible after the decision is made.

6. Terms of appointments and conditions of employment:

・A five-year tenure-track term. Evaluated at the mid-term and in the final year of the term.

・The salary will be paid in an annual-salary system. Eligible to receive transportation expenses (under certain conditions), to become a member of the MEXT Mutual Aid Association and employment insurance. Holidays are subject to the rules and regulations of the University.
